Users Module

Users

This module is about the users and their relevant settings. Here the user can add new users in the system, can view the user’s activity and edit their own information. The following are the sub modules:

Add new users

Here the user can add new users in the system. Not every user has this permission, unless they have the permissions applied from the groups module. Below a hierarchy relationship chart between the user, groups and permissions is provided for clarity. Followed by the chart is the figure showing fields required for adding a new user:

Mandatory fields:

  • User name

View users

This sub module allows the user to view edit and delete the users existing in the system. Note that when the edit user’s module and delete users’ modules are selected as shown in figure 209 the user will be redirected to the view users screen and from here the user can perform the edit and delete. The screen is shown below:

Users’ activity

This module is a simple display function where the details of the users’ activities are shown without the editing feature. The user can download user activity log in CSV format. The screen is shown below for reference:

Edit own

This module allows the user to change their own settings. It is alike the manage user profile module. The only additional feature is that the user can choose to include themselves in different available groups of the system as shown below:
